How to prepare a ham and cheese sandwich






Materials needed





*Bread




*mustard




*mayo




*ham




*cheese




*spoon




*butter knife


1unwrap bread bag




2remove two slices of bread from bag




3unstack bread and place on plate separately




4with butter knife, spread one spoonful of mayo on the left piece of bread




5with butter knife, spread one spoonful of mustard on the right piece of bread




6open cheese packet




7place cheese on left piece of bread




8open ham packet




9place ham on right piece of bread




10place left piece of bread with the mayo and cheese onto the right piece of bread with the mustard and ham




11with butter knife cut the sandwich from the top right down to the bottom left




12remove crust if desired.




13dispose of trash




14enjoy.












Break students up into groups of four






have students write an instructional on how to properly play the game "Rock, Paper, Scissors".






give students about 5 minutes to complete this task






if all groups have completed task, distribute groups work randomly to other groups






have students perform the tasks exactly as written.






Have new group write corrections on instructions






pass papers back to original groups






have original groups perform the task with the corrections.






have students reflect on the importance of clear instructional writings.
